The Charities

Here at The Barefoot Walk we want the whole community to be included and feel the benefits. That is why ALL CHARITIES ARE WELCOME at our event. For 2014 we have chosen to support the charities below and that is where your registration fee goes. However, you can DOWNLOAD A SPONSORSHIP FORM HERE and raise money for ANY registered charity or non-profit organisation. You can still get sponsored to do the walk and give the proceeds to us and we will distribute everything equally to the five charities below:

The British Heart Foundation – a national charity for people who suffer from heart disease and other heart-related conditions

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) – a national charity dedicated to the eradication of child abuse

Double Impact – a local charity supporting drug and alcohol recovery

Rainbows Hospice – a hospice for terminally ill children and young people

Shoe-Aid – there will be a ‘Shoe Bank’ for unwanted shoes to be donated to Shoe-Aid which will be collected by the National Police Aid Convoy and taken to Africa and other places they are needed. This also cuts down on UK land-fill. Please bring any unwanted shoes with you on the day – any condition is accepted!

All funds raised will be split equally between these charities.
